rooted in the sacred: arta’s journey through design and psychedelia

This one’s personal.

arta isn’t just a chocolate brand—it’s a portal

A wink from the universe. A reminder that you’re ready—ready to go inward, ready to shed, ready to soften into something bigger than yourself. Arta is rooted in psilocybin medicine, crafted with reverence, and designed to feel like a sacred object… because it is.

I created the brand identity, packaging, illustrations, and animations with one goal in mind: to hold space for transformation.

inspired by joshua tree and the wisdom of the land

Joshua Tree shaped this work more than any single creative brief ever could. I’ve spent freezing desert nights out there camping, biking, sitting in stillness with mushrooms in hand, letting go of the stories that no longer served me. The desert humbles you. It strips you down. And in that stripping away, you remember who you are.

The colors in Arta come straight from those moments—sun-bleached stone, deep sky, dusky purples, and the kind of soft contrast you only notice when time slows down. The movement of the logo reflects the poetry of the desert itself. Subtle, mystical, never still. The eye inside the “a” winks—sometimes gently, sometimes mischievously—as if Arta knows you’re on the verge of something big.

It’s saying: “you can go as deep as you’re willing to surrender.”

design as ceremony

Like a lot of my work, I illustrated the packaging myself, drawing inspiration from hieroglyphics and ancient symbology. The artwork isn’t just decorative—it’s intentional. Every line and form was shaped to tell a story about transcendence, healing, and connection. The glyph-like figures reflect the psychedelic journey in a visual language that feels both new and ancient at once.

Typography plays a big role in the soul of the brand too. I chose fonts that feel slightly imperfect, hand-drawn, and full of character. There’s a playfulness and humanity to them that makes the brand feel approachable, even while it’s inviting you into deep work.

Even the product names—like “transcendence”—speak to what this experience really is: an invitation to expand, to let go, to come home to yourself.

a brand shaped by integration

This wasn’t just a design project—it was a part of my own integration. Psychedelics and the desert have helped me unlearn so much. They’ve helped me quiet the noise, face myself, and reconnect with who I am at the core. That energy is in this brand.

Arta is the kind of work I dream about: soulful, healing, rebellious in all the right ways. It sits at the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern design—and it’s made to be felt just as much as seen.

If you’re building something with meaning—something rooted in healing, presence, creativity, or transformation—I’d love to help bring it to life. Whether you need brand strategy, packaging design, or a full visual presence, I’m here for the deep work.
